NEXUS support for TTU 13 and WINDOWS 7
We recently had a question about Nexus and Teradata.
Nexus user’s should not experience any issues with Teradata R13 or TTU 13.
Nexus has not been certified yet with Windows 7, but on 32-bit operating systems users should not experience issues. I’ve installed Nexus on Windows 7 and not had any. If they do then they can right-click the Nexus icon, select “Properties”, select the “Compatibility” tab and make sure “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” is check along with Windows XP. They could also select Vista.
Nexus will not run on 64-bit systems.
User’s who install the latest version of Nexus will need to have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed on their computers and we’d recommend the latest Teradata driver (version 13 or higher recommended for your install).
Next week we will start working on a version of Nexus which will run on 64-bit computers. We’ll be developing in Windows 7 so any 7 related issues (which we don’t expect many or any) will be addressed at that time also.
So the main requirements for Nexus are:
.NET Framework 3.5 SP1
32-bit computer
Latest Teradata drivers (version 3.4 or higher, but we’d recommend version 13 for R13) for the query tool.
TTU 13 for the utilities like FastLoad, FastExport etc.
